Dario Wendt is a cinematographer based in Hamburg and Flensburg, Germany. His focus lies in creating honest, emotionally driven visuals that elevate the film.

He began as a self-taught filmmaker, producing music videos where he often took on multiple creative roles. These early projects gave him a broad understanding of the filmmaking process and shaped his story-first approach to cinematography.

On film and television productions in Germany and Austria, he worked as a camera assistant, video operator, and data wrangler, gaining hands-on experience with professional camera systems, on-set workflows.

His international work includes music videos and a short documentary produced in Ghana.

Dario believes the strongest images emerge from a shared connection to the creative vision between the director and cinematographer.
He enjoys developing a visual language together with the director from the earliest stages of a project and values building relationships based on trust and collaboration.
For him, every creative decision begins with the intention of a scene before the technical execution.
Combining an emotionally driven visual approach with a calm, solution-oriented mindset, he strives to create images that serve both the story and the people behind it.

He is currently pursuing a degree in Film & Media Arts at Hochschule Flensburg, while continuing to work as a cinematographer.
